Description

1976 Tony Dorsett Heisman Memorial Trophy 14 Karat Gold Salesman's Sample Ring. Aesthetically identical to the one issued to legendary running back Tony Dorsett, this example will surely be cherished by most discerning Pitt collector, or die-hard alum from the storied school. Genuine diamonds are bypassed for cubic zirconia here, which fill the space surrounding the image of college football's most famous prize. Raised text at perimeter of face reads, "Heisman Memorial Trophy." Left shank reads, "Downtown Athletic Club of New York, Founded 1928," the text framing the club logo. Right shank: "Dorsett, Pittsburgh 1976, The Heisman, Since 1935." Again, an image of the Trophy provides graphical allure. Weighing at 34 grams, the ring's interior band is stamped with the initials of maker Herff Jones and a "14K" gold designation. Size twelve and one half (12.25). Original ring box included on the NM-MT memento. Original paperwork from Herff Jones included.
