Description

1975 Scott Laidlaw Dallas Cowboys "Balfour" NFC Championship Player's Ring. Though felled by Terry Bradshaw and the Steel Curtain in one of the unforgettable Super Bowls pairing these leviathans of the League, the 'boys had a lot to celebrate this season, namely the NFC Championship for which everyone from Staubach to "Too Tall" Jones was presented a ring much like this one. Our offered specimen comes from former Cowboys running back Scott Laidlaw, whose surname appears on the left shank with an image of a Cowboy helmet and his jersey number "35." The right shank reveals an NFL logo and Lombardi Trophy in miniature with the text "NFC Champions" and "Super Bowl X." The face of the ring is clearly the most impressive aspect, with a large cubic zirconia surrounded by five small gem stones, forming the signature Lone Star on the field of a blue stone at center. "Dallas Cowboys 1975" rings the perimeter. "Balfour 10K" is faintly stamped on the interior of this "[size] 11", which is one of two original Cowboys pieces from the notable Stanford alum.
