Description

1908-16 Miller Huggins Game Used Bat, MEARS Authentic. Though the spritely Hall of Famer earned his baseball immorality as a manager rather than a player, collectors of Cooperstown lumber will be properly excited by this rare opportunity to check off a very tough box on their lists. This hand-turned Spalding professional model bat exhibits heavy use with ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks and checking. MEARS notes that the regular knob and round barrel match Huggins' personal specs, as does the rather stubby thirty-one inch length. Weight is a dense, Dead Ball-era thirty-nine ounces. Initials "RM" are carved into knob, suggesting potential post-Huggins use. A rare relic from the years of Huggins' service to the Reds and Cardinals. LOA from MEARS, Authentic.
