The same season as this 1933 Goudey card was issued, Jimmy Foxx tallied a batting average of .356, with 163 RBI's and 48 long balls, which earned the Philadelphia Athletics legend the Triple Crown, and his second straight American League Most Valuable Player Award. A brilliant card from the famed gum issue, this piece has been awarded a PSA NM-MT 8, with no example ever grading higher. This piece appears as if it were just pulled from a pack, with a sparkling surface presenting a gorgeous lemon-yellow background, and an illustration of Foxx in his classic batting follow through pose.
