Description
1996 National Pastime "500 Home Run Club" Multi-Signed Posters Lot of 13 from The Willie McCovey Collection. Created in 1996 by National Pastime to honor the then eleven living members of baseball's most exclusive slugger's fraternity. Nostalgic artwork depicts Aaron tipping his cap at the center, surrounded by Mays, McCovey, Banks, Murray, Jackson, Killebrew, Williams, Schmidt, Robinson, and Mathews. Yankee Stadium's façade looms in the background with "National Pastime Presents The 500 Home Run Club" on the scoreboard. Signed by all eleven, each of whom also added their final tater tally for good measure. There are thirteen posters in total in this lot. Eleven of the posters display 10/10 blue sharpie autographs and inscriptions. On one poster, the sharpie autographs have faded to 8/10 strength, due to sunlight exposure (This poster also has a minor border tear). The autographs on the final poster, which hung in McCovey's home and is framed (29x31.5"), have faded to a 4/10 state due to sunlight exposure. The overall condition on the posters is EX-MT.
