Description
1985 Original Air Jordan I Sneakers Signed by Michael Jordan at his Flight School Camp, UDA COA--Size 13! Is there a more iconic casual footwear than the original Air Jordan I with the Chicago colorway. Some may say the Breds, but Mike never wore that colorway in an official NBA game. However, His Airness rocked the Chicago's during seasons one and two, making history with legendary performances such as dropping forty-nine on the Pistons at The Silverdome (after Zeke froze him out at the the 1985 All-Star Game) and scoring sixty-three on the perhaps the best team ever at the Boston Garden in the 1986 playoffs.This retail pair of shoes issue classic white/red/black colorway displays red toe, black swoosh, Wings logo on the ankle collar and red/white Nike Air label on the tongues. In the decades since it debuted, the Chicago colorway has been reprised more times than Vin Diesel has reprised Dom Toretto, a testament to its timeless appeal and place in American culture.
The interior collars reveals both the size and the "850911BY" SKU stamped in white. Remarkably, they are a size thirteen, the same as Mike wore! The other salient points here are that the left sneaker was signed by Jordan in 9/10 black sharpie at his Flight School Camp in 1999 and the pair remains in remarkable overall condition, despite being worn. That condition includes: Light wear on the outersoles, slight yellowing on the mids, vibrant colors on the uppers, no chipping on the Wings logo, acceptable wear on the exterior ankle collars, typic crumbling on the interior ankle collar padding and ageing/discoloration on the insoles.
Note: The listing appearing on the Upper Deck serialized holographic sticker does not appear on UDA's online database, which is common for some signing sessions. Also, the UDA COA lists the sneakers as being game used but retain coding and lack of 13/13.5 split sizing indicates that they are retail models. LOA from MEARS, Authentic.
