Description

Late 1940's Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. The printing format utilized in the Harridge presidential stamping of this OAL sphere first appeared in 1946, dating the presented relic to the final years of the Babe's life. The finest singles tend to derive from this period, and Ruth's blue fountain pen sweet spot signature here retains an impressive 8.5/10 boldness. A couple stray marks below Ruth's surname cause little distraction, and the ball is otherwise in fine condition with light, even toning throughout. Minimal staining causes no distraction. A rock-solid example of the hobby's most essential building block. Included is a 1931 scorecard for a meeting of the Yanks and White Sox at Comiskey Park, VG. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
