1959 Topps Jim Perry Rookie #542 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher! Righthander Jim Perry was the older brother of late Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry. Jim was a hard-throwing hurler who recorded 215 victories and struck out 1,576 hitters during his 17 years in the Majors. Playing for four different teams during that timeframe (1959 to 1975), he spent most of his career with the Minnesota Twins. Offered is Perry's rookie card from the '59 Topps series, which shows him as a member of the Cleveland Indians. This example of card #542 from the '59 Topps set is found in Mint condition with good color, nice centering, four quality corners and a clean reverse. Graded PSA Mint 9. Of the nearly 600 examples found in the PSA Pop Report, this is one of only 12 cards graded MINT with none rated higher.
