Description

Circa 1927 New York Yankees Signed Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig. The six signatures on this OAL (Johnson) ball allow us to pinpoint the date to the glorious "Murderer's Row" era when the Yanks ruled as the most dominating force in the history of the Majors. The Babe rather mysteriously leaves the sweet spot unoccupied, taking up residence with Lou Gehrig on a side panel for ideal display. The other four Yanks appear at the opposite hemisphere: Lazzeri, Shawkey, Thomas and Moore. All signatures remain a readily legible 5/10 to 7/10 in black fountain pen ink. Ball shows apparent game use, likely either fouled or homered into the stands during a Yankee game. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
