The presented 1948 Bowman rookie card featuring longtime Milwaukee Braves lefthander Warren Spahn is a classic and highly collectible card as it spotlights MLB's all-time winningest southpaw. Renowned for his consistency and longevity, Spahn pitched for 21 seasons in the big leagues and was also a decorated World War II hero. He served with distinction and was awarded a Purple Heart after seeing action in the famous Battle of the Bulge, the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front. The offered example of Spahn's cherished 1948 Bowman rookie card (#18), which captures a side profile view of the gritty hurler, is found in middle-grade condition. Graded SGC EX 5.
