Description

1950 Bowman Jackie Robinson #22 SGC 84 NM 7. By the start of the 1950 Major League Baseball season, Brooklyn Dodgers pioneer Jackie Robinson had firmly established himself as a player to be reckoned with. During the previous season, he not only won the National League batting title (.342), but was also named NL MVP. It was a meteoric rise, having just broken MLB's longstanding color barrier two years earlier. Offered is a 1950 Bowman card that shows Jackie demonstrating his productive swing. This example of card #22 from the '50 Bowman set features vivid color, decent centering, clean borders, and four solid corners. Graded SGC 84 NM 7.
