Description

1948 Leaf Hal Newhouser #98 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher. To the Detroit fan, Hal Newhouser is famous for being a two-time American League MVP and two-time AL Pitcher of the Year. To card collectors, his 1948 Leaf card #98 is famous for being a short-print subject and so very hard to find at all, let alone at the higher grade levels. Offered is a very strong and colorful example with pleasing ink quality, tight registration (no floating pupils here) and four flat out Mint or very "minty" corners. In the series, Newhouser is a tough short print subject and is often one of the last to be crossed off want lists. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of just six at the NM-MT level with none rated higher.
