1911 T205 Polar Bear Ty Cobb SGC 45 VG+ 3.5. Ty Cobb was named the American League's Most Valuable Player the year this card was issued after batting .420 and stealing 83 bases as a member of the Detroit Tigers. Amazingly, for a legend putting together a string of 24 seasons in the majors and amassed 4,189 hits. The year this scarce "Polar Bear" brand card appeared Cobb would earn his lone MVP distinction. This is a very nice representation of his T205 tobacco card with a "Polar Bear" brand reverse. Graded SGC 45 VG+ 3.5.Auction Info
