Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 PSA Good 2. George Herman "Babe" Ruth was considered the greatest showman in baseball history. His monumental home run blasts would decide games and fans always went home craving more. When it was all said and done, Ruth belted a total of 714 round-trippers, which stood as a Major League record for 39 years until "Hammerin' Hank" Aaron came along. With 2,873 hits to his name, Ruth was an easy pick to be a member of the inaugural class (1936) of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Presented is a 1933 Goudey card, one of four different singles that capture the "Sultan of Swat" in the series. Card #144 from the classic '33 Goudey set shows a full-body, colorized image of the Bambino taking a swing with his preferred choice of lumber. The offered example boasts good color, but is a bit off-center and shows its age with wear to the edges and corners. Graded PSA Good 2.
