One of just five at any grade in PSA population!

1933-36 E137 Zeenut Joe DiMaggio (sic "DeMaggio," Throwing, With Coupon) PSA Good 2. It was an era in which Yankees fans were facing great changes. The Babe was nearing the end of his days playing in pinstripes when this remarkable rarity rolled off the presses and made its way into Zeenut candy boxes featuring another Yankees legend who was about to step onto the revered outfield of the House That Ruth Built. What is a "Zeenut?" The San Francisco-based confectioner, produced what is often described as a coconut-based variation on Cracker Jacks, was the very first organization to capture this local Seal in cardboard. Today, it is nothing less than a rare and important relic debuting years before the young superstar made his Bronx debut. His immense baseball talent showed early with DiMaggio hitting safely in a record sixty-one consecutive PCL contests in 1933, a foreshadowing of his forthcoming fifty-six game streak in 1941. "Baseball didn't really get into my blood until I knocked off that hitting streak," he'd later admit. "Getting a daily hit became more important to me than eating, drinking or sleeping." Of course back then he had yet to marry Marilyn Monroe.

As profoundly scarce as this regional issue is, the addition of the Zeenut coupon still intact, an occurrence that holds true for only approx. 2-3% of all Zeenut cards, carries it into the collecting stratosphere. This exceptional specimen will bestow a huge sense of pride, and let's face it, bragging rights. Graded PSA Good 2. One of only five total examples graded by PSA!
