The sport's top Champion makes his debut...

1957 Topps Bill Russell #77 PSA NM-MT 8. After leading the University of San Francisco to two consecutive NCAA basketball titles in 1955 and 1956 and serving as captain of the 1956 Melbourne Olympics Gold Medal-winning U.S. basketball team, Bill Russell continued his winning ways. The first of his eleven NBA titles from 1957 - 1969 with the Boston Celtics came at the conclusion of his rookie season. His impact on the sport would be highlighted by those eleven World Championships, his five NBA MVP awards and a dozen All-Star appearances.

Offered is a high grade example of his trading card debut. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. The card displays rich hues, shiny gloss, four "minty" corners, clean borders and nicely centered graphics. Of the over 600 examples submitted to PSA, there are forty-six in NM-MT with a handful rating higher.
