Description

1972 George Kissell Game Worn & Signed St. Louis Cardinals Coach's Jersey. Baseball was George Kissell's life. At Ithaca College, his senior thesis paper was on how to play and teach baseball. Kissell went on to spend seven decades in the game he loved as a player, manager, coach and instructor. During his tenure with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, he was instrumental in establishing a code for the franchise's ethos and practices known as the "Cardinal Way."

His St. Louis coach's jersey offered here is a road gray pullover with sewn-on tackle twill identifiers, chenille embroidery, ribbed trim and Rawlings labeling confirming size, season and set. Exhibits evidence of use and the back is signed and inscribed in 9/10 black sharpie. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
