Description

Signed 1955 Topps All-American Cotton Warburton #81 PSA EX 5, PSA/DNA Auto 7. Offered is a 1955 Topps All-American card that highlights USC quarterback Irvine "Cotton" Warburton. He earned his nickname because he was as fast as a cottontail rabbit. A great signal-caller, he led the Trojans to consecutive Rose Bowl victories in the early 1930s. After college, he declined an offer from the Chicago Bears and instead became an assistant film editor at Metro-Goldwyn Mayer Studios in Hollywood. His post-football career included 60 feature film credits. The presented example of card #81 from the '55 Topps AA series has been signed by Warburton in blue ink right across his outstretched arms. Graded PSA EX 5 with a certified autograph graded PSA/DNA Auto 7.
