1921 E253 Oxford Confectionery Rogers Hornsby SGC Poor 1. Rogers Hornsby was not a shy man but expressed himself best in the batter's box. He let his bat do the talking. A seven-time batting champion, "Rajah" hit a remarkable .424 in 1924, the best of his three .400+ BA seasons. His appearances in the batter's box and in trading card issues of the era are both symbols in consistency. Offered is one of his more scarce appearances from the 1921 E253 Oxford Confectionery series. This example is new to the hobby! The roster has some of the all-time greatest of baseball, but "Rajah" fits in like a comfortable shoe. Graded SGC Poor 1.Auction Info
