1913-15 W530 Pinkerton Christy Mathewson (Blank Back) #251 SGC Authentic. Showing how some things never change, the beautiful Pinkerton real photo cards were out of the reach of most baseball fans back then- as they are now. To appease the masses in the post-Pinkerton era, these cards were produced with blank backs, score card and post card format backs. Today, these cards are available in a quantity that can only accommodate a thin population of modern hobbyists. Offered is a blank backed example of Card #251 that features Giants legend, Christy Mathewson. It has been encapsulated SGC Authentic and exhibits several blemishes and areas of surface wear, but remains crease-free. Only ten examples have been evaluated at SGC with seven higher.Auction Info
