Description
Circa 1985 Isiah Thomas Game Worn & Signed Detroit Pistons Sneakers with Team Provenance. Zeke wore these bad boys before he was a Bad Boy, circa 1985. Converse All-Stars feature white leather uppers with purple leather star and chevron logo on the sides, the alternate brand logo on the heels, and purple leather trim. Also the nylon side panels (which have since faded to a cream color) were a forerunner to the breathable sidings which became so popular and prevalent in the ensuing decades. Tagging includes a "Converse All-Star" label on the tongues and size "11 1/2" flap tags inside. Each sneaker is signed in vintage sharpie on the outer ankles. While the uppers exhibit signs of wear and smudges, the thick rubber midsoles and outersoles show no signs of degradation. For the style match, see Getty Images 53450893. Zeke footwear of this era is a tough find.These sneakers were originally obtained directly from the players by Allen Einstein who was the Detroit Pistons team photographer from 1978 until 2016 and are accompanied with his signed letter stating as such. Letter of provenance from Allen Einstein. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
