1932 U.S. Caramel Lefty Gomez #31 PSA NM 7. If you believe the hype, the success of the New York Yankees was just the result of great hitting. Not true. The same credit goes to the pitching staff which was peppered with greats like Vernon "Lefty" Gomez. After earning the coveted pitching Triple Crown in 1934 with American League-leading numbers in ERA (2.33), wins (26) and strike outs (158), the Hall of Fame southpaw also led in W-L% (.839) and complete games (25). There is some modest corner wear better seen under magnification. Fantastic colors and a beautiful, bright white surrounding frame. Graded PSA NM 7. Another hard to come by example that has nice white borders, a crisp photo and well formed corners. One of six in NM with six graded higher.View Certification and Population Details from PSA
