Description

High-quality representation of a Depression-era rarity!

1935 National Chicle Bronko Nagurski Rookie #34 PSA EX-MT+ 6.5. Literally and figuratively one of the giants of the early professional game, Nagurski rose from prominence as a two-way superstar for the University of Minnesota to become the most celebrated member of the 1930's Chicago Bears. He'd help deliver three NFL Championships to the Windy City during his nine seasons under George Halas, and would join his iconic coach as one of the inaugural inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

But his elite skills account for only a portion of the desirability of this exceptional cardboard commemorative which, like the fabled 1952 Topps Mantle, is further elevated by the relative rarity of its late-series production. Compare the full PSA population to Knute Rockne, a key card from the early series, and you'll find the tragic Notre Dame coach more than doubling the Nagurski census.

But even among the scant few survivors, this Nagurski distinguishes itself, bested by just twenty-five of 198 submissions at the time of this writing. Bright colors and crisp registration lead the charge toward the upper reaches of the population.
