Description

1988 Tim Teufel NLCS Worn & Signed New York Mets Jersey. The versatile infielder is best remembered for his line-drive power, encounter with Rob Dibble, and, of course, the "Teufel Shuffle."

Here is his Mets gamer from the exciting 1988 NLCS which went seven games versus the eventual champion Dodgers. Home white pinstriped knit pullover displays all-sewn-on textured twill identifiers, blue ribbed v-neck collar, and orange/blue/orange trim on the shoulders and sides. Tagging includes a "Rawlings 42" label and a white swatch with "PO. 88 11 1" in blue embroidery. Furthermore, the front is signed and inscribed Tim Teufel #11 1988" in 9/10 vintage black sharpie. Exhibits moderate wear. Note: The jersey was probably carried over and used somewhat in 1989 as well. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
