1980 Topps Basketball Wax Box with 36 Unopened Packs - Magic & Bird Rookie Year! Jordan. James. Bryant. Barkley. Ewing. Malone. In the last half-century, NBA fans have had no lack of talent to cheer on year-after-year. Like the sport, Basketball cards have truly come into their own, and are now a driving force in the hobby. The first launch of the game's universal appeal were in thanks in part to two men - Larry Bird and Magic Johnson! Rookie debut cards are still a key element of that success both back then as it is today. This series has one of the most influential cards in the hobby - the rookie card debut of both Bird and Johnson and in some twist of faith they appear on the same card.Offered is a 1980-81 Topps Basketball wax box with 36 unopened packs housed inside. This is a key 80's Topps Basketball series thanks to the Larry Bird/Magic Johnson rookie card. Who knows how many Mint to Gem Mint examples can be found inside. And don't forget both legends can be found on other cards which just adds to the excitement of opening these 40+ year-old packs. The box does show surface wear throughout, a light crease in the top cover and light compressed edging on left panel. Authenticated and sealed by Steve Hart-Baseball Card Exchange.
