Description
1910 PC796 Sepia Ty Cobb-Honus Wagner SGC Good 2. From the John Esch Collection. It should come as no surprise that one of the most coveted cards of the early 20th Century features two of its greatest players. The scene is Ty Cobb and Hans "Honas" Wagner shaking hands probably just prior to the 1909 World Series. It is a fantastic image of two baseball legends meeting for probably the first time. Both men do appear to be smiling but one has to wonder how long that lasted. The card presents at the excellent level but there seems to be some very faint pencil on the reverse. Graded SGC Good 2.
