The 1961 Green Bay Packers, coached by Vince Lombardi, were a dominant team that finished with an 11-3 record and won the NFL Championship, marking the beginning of the franchise's 1960s dynasty. Led by quarterback Bart Starr, fullback Jim Taylor, and a punishing defense featuring stars like Ray Nitschke and Willie Davis, the team excelled on both sides of the ball. In the NFL Championship Game, they defeated the New York Giants 37-0 at City Stadium (later renamed Lambeau Field), giving Lombardi his first title as a head coach.
