1961 New York Yankees Picture Pennant. The 1961 World Series champs were a historically significant team for more than the Fall Classic triumph they enjoyed over the Cincinnati Reds that year. Enthusiasts will remember the epic home run race between Bronx Bomber teammates Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris were embroiled in that year as they chased Babe Ruth's single-season home run mark.
