1979 Topps Baseball Production Proofs Pair (2). The road to final product is a long and fascinating process. Think about what it takes to get the consistent layout, color matching to team logos and images and of course correct player identification for 726 different cards? Offered is a pair of early production proofs from 1979 for Pete Falcone (final card #87) and Bob Grich (final card #477). Both are blank backed and hand cut very close to the final dimension we know all too well - 2-1/2" x 3-1/2." Both proofs have fully printed central images with all four process colors plus the warm red and yellow spot color portions. The names are reversed and have yet to be corrected.
