Description

1958 Baseball Themed Gumball Machine. It was a big year for baseball, with the Dodgers and Giants heading west to California, the Yankees and Braves meeting in a World Series rematch, and this charming bubble gum machine taking up residence in the local market. This classic free-standing gum dispenser should bring back fond memories for those of us who were kids during those "Happy Days," and the unrestored, fully functioning condition is quite remarkable given the age. A spring-operated "bat" hurls the ball toward pockets representing hits and outs, and kids needed to keep flipping until they were awarded their sugary treats. Machine stands forty-five inches tall on its heavy iron base. Original key is present.
