Description
1965-68 Brooks Robinson Game Used Bat. Though best remembered for his remarkable skill with the leather, The Human Vacuum Cleaner was no slouch with the lumber either, finishing just 152 hits short of the 3,000 Club. This signature model Hillerich & Bradsby W166 exhibits exceptional game use, with deeply embedded stitch marks, cleat marks, and an eleven-inch sliver of wood missing from the back of the barrel, lost in the heat of battle. Handle shows remnants of red paint. Length and weight are thirty-four and a half inches and thirty-two ounces respectively. Factory records show Robinson ordering this model bat, though not in this specific length, leading to the conclusion that this is a team index model. Bushing assesses a grade of 5.5 for this war-torn specimen. LOA from Dave Bushing.
