Description

1933-34 New York Rangers Stars Signed Large Photograph . We'd be thrilled with just the photograph alone, a massive for the day (16x20") image issued by "Dispatch Photo News Service," obviously printed for presentation to a V.I.P. hockey fan. The image is simply fantastic, with bold contrasts of light and dark lending a mystical feel to the proceedings. But it's clear that the plan when this photo was printed was that it was to be signed as well, and the autographs of the five stars pictured remain in terrific 8/10 or better condition along the white lower border. Most notable are early Hall of Famers Earl Seibert and Ching Johnson, but Doug Brennan, Jean Pusie and Ott Heller are also significant in Rangers lore. Two very minor tears cross Brennan's autograph, and another runs through Johnson's, but these do little to detract. The condition of the rest of the photograph is very strong, with the majority of the wear confined to the outermost edges, leaving the central focus of the photo in apparent NRMT state. Tastefully matted and framed to overall dimensions of 20x23" in size. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
