Description

1910-11 M116 Sporting Life Rube Waddell/Black Back PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher. HoF pitcher Rube Waddell of the St. Louis Browns is perhaps one of the more "unique" baseball personalities and a most undependable major league star of all time. He was known to show up drunk for games on a regular basis. His legendary manager Connie Mack once remarked, "The Rube has a two million dollar body and a two cent head." Personal demons aside, Rube became a member of baseball's elite in Cooperstown in 1946. We present one of the finer "Black Back" versions of his M116 card on record with PSA. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. This card is one of nine at this grade level, there are none rated higher.
