Description
1956 Southern California Open Low Medalist Medal Won by Ellsworth Vines. Presented here is a beautiful sterling silver Medalist medal awarded to Ellsworth Vines as he competed in the 1956 Southern California Golf Championship. The rear of the medal bears the Sterling hallmark and simply his scores: "70-72-142." The front of this piece is quite ornate with very attractive scrollwork and the script "1956 PGA Medalist." A golden figural golfer provides some color. Vines' name is engraved on the front. The medal measures approximately 1.5x1.75". Letter of provenance from Ellsworth Vines III.Auction Info
