1999 PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award Painting Presented to Sam Snead. "Dear Sam," begins the letter matted and framed beneath a photo of Snead posing with this painting at the presentation ceremony, "Thanks very much for coming up to Ponte Vedra during The Players Championship last week to receive The PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award commemorative painting. I also want to thank you for joining us at The Past Champions dinner. Your presence made it a very special occasion. We hope that you enjoyed your visit. Please feel free to call on me if I can ever be of assistance to you. With kind personal regards, Sincerely, Timothy W. Finchem."The links legend is captured with masterful strokes by artist Walt Spitzmiller, who signs in 9/10 black ink along with Snead himself near the lower edge of the canvas. The acrylic work measures 22x32", with the classic golden wood frame completing the dimensions at 31x41". Fine condition. Joining the painting is the ceremony photograph and PGA Tour letter previously noted. Letter of provenance from Jack Snead.
