1964 Senior PGA Championship Trophy Won by Sam Snead. Snead was a six-time winner of the Senior PGA (1964, 1965, 1967, 1970, 1972, 1973), a tournament record. But he saved his best for last with his final victory on January 28, 1973 at the PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where his twenty-under par 268 was a stunning fifteen strokes better than the runner-up. The sixty-one year old Snead posted the lowest score during each of the four rounds! The presented trophy marks the start of his domination, engraved, "The Teacher International Trophy, Senior Professional Golfers Presented By Wm. Teacher & Sons Ltd., Glasgow." Verso attributes the prize: "1964 Winner, Sam Snead." The gorgeous sterling silver creation is marked "Made in England" under base and measures five inches in height.
