Description

1979 Tug McGraw Game Used Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8.5. Every once in awhile Tug McGraw had to pick up a bat and dig into the batter's box. This Louisville Slugger model C271 was used in 1979 by the popular reliever. Moderate use is shown on the bat with a few ball marks and stitch impressions on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Red bat rack marks and light pine tar are also featured. McGraw registered seven at-bats in 1979. "45" is written on the knob for identification. This bat may have also seen batting practice action according to John Taube's analysis. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8.5.
