1924 New York Giants with Ross Youngs Original News Photograph. His brilliance in the field earned him 1972 posthumous Hall of Fame induction, and his early death at age thirty in 1927 assured that the modern hobby would always find supply far trailing demand for material related to his decorated but tragically abridged career. He stands at far right in this wonderful spring training image beside Irish Meusel and fellow Hall of Famer Billy Southworth, one of the very few Type 1 photos we've encountered picturing this fallen star. Image measures just over 6x8" in size with original paper caption affixed. A few light scattered creases are only apparent at certain angles to the light.Auction Info
