Description

Early 1930's Ki Ki Cuyler Single Signed Baseball. A fatal heart attack in 1950, not long after Cuyler's fifty-first birthday, has ensured that this Hall of Fame right fielder's signature remains in short supply, and that is particularly true in the case of single signed baseballs. Presented is a fabulously scarce example of such, a commodity rather conservatively listed at $5,000 in the Sports Market Report price guide despite the fact that the offerings of Cuyler singles in major auctions in the past decade could be counted upon a single hand. The appeal of this specimen is augmented by its "playing days" status, assured by the Heydler presidential stamping which dates the ONL orb to no later than 1934. The bold black fountain pen side panel inscription provides a simple, "To Teed From 'Ki Ki' Cuyler," rating a solid 8/10. The ball itself is evenly and attractively toned, with no condition issues of any real concern. A rare opportunity to fill that nagging empty space in your collection. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
