Description

1946 Montreal Royals Multi-Signed Baseball with Jackie Robinson. In 1946, Jackie Robinson played for the Montreal Royals, the Brooklyn Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate, becoming the first Black player in modern professional baseball. Montreal warmly embraced him, in contrast to the racism he faced elsewhere. He excelled on the field, leading the International League with a .349 batting average, 113 runs, and 40 stolen bases. On April 18, 1946, he debuted with the Royals, hitting a three-run homer. Fans admired his talent and resilience, and after winning the league championship, they celebrated him as a hero. His success in Montreal paved the way for his historic MLB debut in 1947.

This baseball was signed by Jackie Robinson during his journey up north. "Montreal" is stenciled on the sweet spot, and "August 17, 1946" is carefully written below the team reference. Robinson signed (8/10) a side panel along with these baseball players: Don Savage, Yogi Berra and five more. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
