Description

Circa 1960 Casey Stengel Single Signed Baseball. For as accommodating as he was to his adoring public, there just aren't enough single signed baseballs of the Old Perfessor to go around. The ever-popular Casey Stengel kept baseball fun and never took himself, or anyone else, too seriously. A baseball lifer, Stengel kept his hand in the game as he assumed the role of skipper during the Mets' infancy. This ONL (Giles) ball is signed perfectly by Stengel across the sweet spot and was tucked away for decades on end. The blue ballpoint signature measures 9/10 on the strength scale. The ball is slightly off-white, as would be expected from a fifty year old relic. Easily one of the finest Stengel singles we have encountered. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
