Description
1988-89 Spud Webb Game Worn & Signed Atlanta Hawks Jersey. Named after Sputnik because someone in his family believed his infant head was shaped like the Soviet satellite, Spud Webb's career was about much more than his famed dunk title. Playing a dozen years in the NBA, he forged a reputation as an astute floor general, solid assist man, and dependable foul shooter.His home white mesh jersey offered here displays team and player identifiers, all sewn-on in white and red tackle twill. Also, ribbed red/yellow trim adorns the collar and arm openings, while yellow soutache is sewn around the front and back. Meanwhile tagging includes Sand-Knit MacGregor labels for exclusivity and size ("36"), plus white knit swatches with "88" and "2"SB" in black embroidery. Furthermore, the verso numeral is signed "Spud Webb #4" in 9/10 vintage black sharpie. Exhibits nice wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
