Description

1950's Oscar "Hap" Felsch Signed Index Card. "Well, the beans are spilled and I think I'm through with baseball. I got $5,000. I could have got just about that much by being on the level if the Sox had won the Series. And now I'm out of baseball - the only profession I know anything about, and a lot of gamblers have gotten rich. The joke seems to be on us." The star center fielder for the 1919 Chicago White Sox was one of the eight men banned from the game when the story of their deception was exposed. Here we present the first example of his rare autograph to reach the auction block of a major house since the spring of 2008. The fantastic specimen provides his full name signature and home address on the blank side of a 3x5" index card. Ink is 9+/10. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
