Description
1937 World Series Multi-Signed Baseball with DiMaggio & Ott. We are fairly confident this baseball was signed during the Fall Classic in 1937 given the men who penned their identity onto the ONL (Frick) baseball. Since the ball is a National League orb, it would have been passed around when the series took place at the Polo Grounds. The toned ball has a top coating applied. Bidders are greeted with Joe DiMaggio (9/10) and fellow Hall of Famer Red Ruffing on the sweet spot. Autographs range from 6/10 to 9/10 in black ink. Yankees who signed include: Lefty Gomez, Bill Dickey, Frank Crosetti, Red Rolfe, Babe Dahlgren (first year in New York '37), Lefty Gomez, Joe Gordon, Art Jorgens, George Selkirk and Charlie Keller. Giants who signed on are: Carl Hubbell, Harry Danning and Mel Ott (6/10). A few others also signed the ball: Tex Carlton, Cookie Lavagetto, Dolph Camilli along with a few more. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
