1923 V145-1 Paterson Howie Morenz Rookie #15 PSA VG 3. One of the first major stars of professional hockey and one of the most dominant players to ever strap on the skates, was Howie Morenz. It should come to the surprise of no one that the rookie card of Morenz is one of the most treasured additions to a vintage hockey collection- which is what we are offering here. On November 3, 1937, the NHL organized an All-Star game (one of the earliest NHL All-Star contests) to benefit the family of the late Morenz, who broke his leg during a game and later passed away from complications of the injury. He will forever be remembered as one of the all-time greats. No creases or wrinkles, corner softness and vertical centering contributed to its grade.
