Description

1967 Topps Rod Carew - AL Rookie Stars #569 PSA EX-MT 6. Hall of Famer Rod Carew was an incredible hitter who won seven American League batting titles as he recorded a lifetime batting average of .328. Of interesting note is the fact that he played a total of 19 MLB seasons, but each of his batting championships was won during his 12-year run with the Minnesota Twins. Presented is Carew's 1967 Topps "A.L. All-Star Rookies" card upon which he shares equal billing with Washington Senators outfielder Hank Allen. The 1967 AL Rookie of the Year and 1977 AL MVP, Carew collected 3,053 hits in all. His well-deserved induction into Cooperstown took place in 1991. This example of Rod's coveted rookie card (#569) from the '67 Topps series boasts good color, solid registration, sharp corners and a clean reverse. Graded PSA EX-MT 6.
