1925-27 Billy Sunday Single Signed Baseball. Billy Sunday took an odd path to notoriety, becoming one of the first popular stars of organized baseball during the 1880s before going on to become one of the most influential evangelists for the first two decades of the 20th century. Sunday traveled the country preaching the word of Christian conservatism to perhaps more than any one person has up until that point.Mister Sunday signed his autograph across the sweet spot of this OAL (Johnson) baseball in blue steel-tip fountain pen. The ball has aged to a light gray tone and exhibits some scuffing but the league stamping is still clearly visible. Meanwhile, the autograph grades a 5/10 in strength. A very rare single.
