Description
1979 Lou Brock Game Worn & Signed St. Louis Cardinals Jersey. At the age of forty, Lou Brock was visited by the Fountain of Youth. Appearing in 120 games, Brock hit at a remarkable .304 clip and swiped twenty-one bases in the process. As his career was heading into its final stanza, Brock wore this eye-grabbing powder blue "Rawlings size 40" road representation. Showing appropriate use, the jersey has "Brock 20" on the reverse in two-tone tackle twill. Moderate identifier fraying/softening and puckering signify use on the V-neck pullover. The Cardinals added a little spice with sleeve numbers (2 7/8" tall). Blue/white/red ribbed material surrounds the collar and both sleeve ends. The Cardinals' unmistakable birds-on-bat logo is proudly displayed on front and filled in with chenille threads. The inner tail houses a size and "Set 1 1979" flag tag. Brock sealed the deal with a signature on front. While most Hall of Famers trudge to the finish line, Brock finished his brilliant career on a high note - wearing this rare two-year style knit.
