1983 Rod Carew Game Worn & Signed California Angels Jersey - Photo Matched! After earning a dozen All-Star berths and seven batting crowns in the twin cities, Rod Carew played his last seven professional years in Anaheim where he was a six-time American League All-Star. The presented jersey was worn by the future Hall of Famer during the 1983 campaign when he batted an incredible .339 at the age of thirty-seven!Home white knit pullover sports "Angels" arched across the chest, with "29" offset below, and "Carew 29" on the verso, all sewn-on in red/midnight navy/yellow tackle twill. Blue and red trim accentuates the v-neck collar and sleeve cuffs and a California State team patch resides on the left sleeve. Tagging in the front left tail includes "83" year swatch, "Wilson 42" label and "tapered" flap tag. Evidence of wear includes fraying/puckering on the identifiers and tagging. Furthermore, the front is signed "Rod Carew" in 8/10 black sharpie. Best of all, this exemplar is conclusively matched to two undated images from the 1983 season.
