Description

Circa 1927 "Babe" Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Earle Combs Signed Baseball. The Ban Johnson model of Official American League baseball blessed by the hands of three Hall of Fame members of Murderer's Row is exactly the type the Babe launched sixty times into the outfield seats in 1927. His gorgeous blue ink signature commands the sweet spot, his early quotation-marked style registering at a conservative 8.5/10. To the south is the autograph of the club's center fielder, rendered in 8/10 black fountain pen ink. Gehrig has not fared quite so well on the western panel, but still hangs on at a discernible 1.5/10. The ball itself is clean with gentle, even toning, adding to the considerable aesthetics and desirability. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
